Multi-Modality Instruction Support for Fall 2020
August 20, 2020
AS&E Faculty and Staff:
To help prepare for multi-modality teaching this semester, ETS and CELT have created a “Multi-Modality Classroom” page on the Teaching@Tufts site. It has the following features:
- ETS has arranged hands-on classroom orientation sessions between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday over the next three weeks. Faculty may register for an orientation session here. Please consider bringing along TAs that are available to attend, including “tech TAs” you may have recently hired.
- A guide to the different technologies is also available on the website.
- A list of classrooms that have been equipped for multi-modality instruction for Fall 2020.
- CELT has created a guide called What will synchronous teaching be like in fall 2020?, which is full of creative ideas and tips that address some frequently asked teaching questions related to engaging students in multiple modalities. This document can be found on the Preparing for Fall 2020 page on Teaching@Tufts along with short Virtual Teaching Tips as PDFs that you can easily print.
We hope that these resources are helpful to you, and remind you that CELT and ETS continue to offer many opportunities for learning and development, and are here to support you.
